It had been too long since I’d made a step bezel for a faceted gem, but this green tourmaline prompted me to remember how to do it.
1.38 Ct., measuring 8mm x 6.5mm, natural Brazilian, possibly heated, with minor inclusions.
Set in a hand-fabricated 22K yellow gold bezel with 14K step setting. Ring shank is antique, European hallmarked ‘750’, meaning 18K. Size 7 3/4.
Sizeable down at no cost, up for a fee.
