Seedpod Wreath Charmholder Earrings with Emerald Slices

Cast in Sterling silver from seed pods I found on a hike in Redwood Regional Park near my home, I’ve wrapped the floral pods into a wreath shape and made them into studs. The studs have a Charmholder ‘hook’ on the back in 14K, and can be worn either with or without the charms. There’s also an 18K gold bead for contrast. Large floral style friction backs.

The emerald slices are set in fine and Sterling silver settings with 14K yellow gold prongs and jump rings. The charms can be worn separately on a charmholder necklace (not included), or on the wreath studs.

While they’re bold, they’re pretty lightweight for their size, due to the thinness of the slices themselves, and the minimal amount of metal used to secure them.

Slices weigh 8 and 10g.

Studs weigh 3g each, though studs don’t hang, so their weight isn’t as easily perceived.
