Dendritic Agate, Sunstone, and Golden Rutilated Quartz Earrings

I can’t exactly explain how these came together as they did, but I can only say that I’m grateful for this kind of studio magic when it decides to show up.

Assymetrical and utterly fascinating, and lightweight for their size at 6/7g per earring. Both earrings feature deliciously extra-long 14K yellow gold ear wires accented with 18K yellow gold beads, and both have dendritic agates in saturated hues of carmine, chocolate and chestnut, but each earring has distinct playmates. 

The pear-shaped dendritic agate has a gem-grade golden rutilated quartz teardrop bead attached by a heavy gauge 18K yellow gold wrap. A 14K yellow gold connector allows for scintillating movement.

The elongated marquis-shaped dendritic agate sways horizontally beneath a vivid sunstone, connected on the reverse by a bit of beaded 14K yellow gold. At the agate’s base hang three vintage hollowform 22K yellow gold balls, just as playful as can be.

Each is 2 3/4” total length.
