Schalenblende Galena and Chatoyant Grey Quartz Earrings

An ode to gemological phenomena, I've combined the shimmering, subtly-striated chatoyant grey quartz with the rare schalenblende galena, a mix of warm, chocolatey sphalerite, silvery galena and the deep and lustrous, metallic marcasite.

The top schalenblende galena is in a bimetal bezel of 22K yellow gold and fine silver over Sterling, while the top chatoyant grey quartz is 22K yellow gold over the Sterling back sheet only. Other settings are fine, and Sterling silver, with 14K yellow gold ear wires and connectors.
