Coral Sea Agate Pendant with Sunstone

This plume agate doublet (whose trade name is Coral Sea Agate) reminds me of Monet’s water lilies, and one special thing about those paintings is the quality of the light on the water. I’ve paired the doublet with a sunstone, another gem with a gorgeous light play. The doublet is set in a Sterling and fine silver setting, pierced on the reverse to show off a wicked piece of included North Carolina mica. I’ve never seen mica with blooms like this between its layers - just really cool! The sunstone is set in a 22K yellow gold bezel over Sterling. 14K yellow gold connectors, and the pendant hangs from my integrated bail, also in 14K yellow gold.
